Step 6: Bugle Bead Foundation Earrings
Step 6: Continue with the same process, repeating steps 1 through 4, until the remaining five foundation rows and all of the seven dangles are completed. Here are the bead sequences for the remaining five dangles. Don’t forget to string a foundation bugle bead before each beading sequence. If you go back and follow steps 1 through 4 you won’t have any problems.
* 3rd Dangle:
2 silver seed beads
2 black seed beads
3 white seed beads
1 black bugle bead
3 white seed beads
3 black seed beads
6 silver seed beads
* 4th Dangle:
4 silver seed beads
2 black seed beads
3 white seed beads
1 black bugle bead
3 white seed beads
3 black seed beads
6 silver seed beads
* 5th Dangle:
2 silver seed beads
2 black seed beads
3 white seed beads
1 black bugle bead
3 white seed beads
3 black seed beads
6 silver seed beads
* 6th Dangle:
2 black seed beads
3 white seed beads
1 black bugle bead
3 white seed beads
3 black seed beads
6 silver seed beads
* 7th Dangle:
3 white seed beads
1 black bugle bead
3 white seed beads
3 black seed beads
6 silver seed beads
Now strengthen the foundation row and get rid of any wide gaps by weaving the thread back down and up through the bugle beads to the beginning of the row. Start by going down through the 6th bugle bead strung and then up through the 5th bugle bead and so on until you get back to the very first bugle bead strung. Your needle and thread should now be coming out of the top of the 1st bugle bead in the row; the one that has the tail of your starting thread sticking out of the top of it.
Pull the beads close together, but not so tight that the beads bunch up or the thread is frayed.
