New Blog Direction

I have been designing and making necklaces, bracelets, and earrings for many years for my family and friends. I made the above set as a Christmas gift for a friend last year. Recently I’ve been concentrating on making Indian style beaded earrings. And you know what they say — write about what you know. So I’m thinking I might go off in a new blog direction of writing a sort of tutorial on how to make beaded earrings. It will be fun for me and, I hope, informative to some fellow beaders out there in the blogosphere. Click on the forward arrow here to see an example.
The jewelry set above is made from red buri beads, which are made from the nuts of the Buri tree in the Philippines, and chunky turquoise-color howlite chips. The necklace is 18″ long, the bracelet is 9″ long, and the earrings are 2 1/2″ long overall.

Hi Dawnmorningstar,
Thanks for your comment. Beading is really fun and therapeutic! I’m just starting making jewelry so I really appreciated your comment.
You have wonderful tips on tools and beads.
