Step 8: Bugle Bead Foundation Earrings

Step 8: Continue in the same way, adding single seed beads between each set of bugle beads in the foundation row.  Work across from left to right.  There will be one less seed bead in this row than there were bugle beads in the foundation row.

You have already added the first bead of this row in Step 7, a white seed  bead.  The next 4 seed beads will be black.  The final seed bead should be white.

When this row is finished, your sequence of colors across should be:

*  1 white seed bead

*  4 black seed beads

*  1 white seed bead

In the photo above, you may notice that on the first dangle, there is a little thread showing between the third seed bead and the bugle bead below it.  This is nothing to worry about.  The tail of the thread we started with has simply slid down a tiny bit and the gap can be closed easily by pulling up a little on the starting tail thread.  Later, in the final step of our earrings, we will tie this tail with the end of our thread to form a knot.
