We’re almost done.  This is the last step before attaching the ear wires.

Step 12: Weave the thread down through the beads in the earring top in an up and down or zig-zag pattern.  Have the needle and thread coming out at the same place as the beginning thread tail.

Tie a simple, small knot and then weave each tail through a few beads on several rows for security.  Put a dab of clear nail polish or glue on the knot.  Cut off the excess threads.

The knot is not visible at all, as you can see in the close-up photo.
