Pattern 1

Here is a photo of the finished earrings and a color pattern of the bead layout.  I have used gray in place of silver on the color diagram.

For the sake of clarity in the color pattern, and to show how the six silver beads make a loop, I drew in  smaller than normal seed beads on the bottom loop of the dangles.  If you look at the photo, you can see that those bottom six beads are actually the same size 11 seed beads as those used in the rest of the pattern.

For this first earring I used the simple colors of black, white, and silver so that each step would show clear and distinct pictures.  While these are pretty, normally you will probably want to use brighter colors or more colors.

You can have a lot of fun with this pattern by experimenting with your own favorite colors and beads to make yourself a one-of-a-kind-set of earrings.  You might also want to use some other sizes of beads.  Once you have the basics and a little practice, you can create anything you like.

  1. I really like your patters. I used to make beaded earrings years ago, and really want to get back into doing it again. My mom and I used to go to craft fairs, but in such small communities, there wasn’t much of a demand for beaded earrings. I sold more homemade bread, and popcorn then I did the earrings. But I believe that I will do this again and get my own website set up. Thank you for the inspiration.
