Beadwork has an amazing history through the ages. From what I’ve read, many beautiful examples of beadwork have been found on all the continents except one, Antarctica. The American Indian style of beadwork is popular worldwide. It is distinguished by bright colors, bold designs, and natural themes. Rooted in their designs are symbols of spiritual significance to the native cultures creating them.
The brightly colored beads I used in this earring give it an American Indian flavor. The beads I used were bugle beads in Metallic Iris Blue and seed beads in the colors of Medium Blue, White, Red, Orange, Yellow, and Black.
